Introducing the MB-SR50N EI EFEKT Mullion-Transom System: Advanced Fire-Resistant Facades

The MB-SR50N EI EFEKT mullion-transom system has been meticulously crafted for the construction and execution of lightweight fire-resistant curtain and filling walls. It offers fire resistance classes EI15, EI30, EI45, and EI60, conforming to the standards PN-EN 1364-3 and PN-EN 1364-1. Additionally, this system is classified as non-fire-propagating (NFP).

Description

Key Features:

Sleek Aesthetics: The system boasts a smooth exterior surface with vertical and horizontal grid lines, each measuring a slim 24mm wide. This design ensures not only aesthetics but also excellent performance characteristics.

High Thermal Insulation: The ability to accommodate two-chamber glazing leads to exceptional thermal insulation, aligning with the global trend of energy consumption reduction in buildings and making it a top choice for curtain walls.

Robust Load-Bearing Structure: The load-bearing structure comprises vertical (mullions) and horizontal (transoms) aluminum profiles with a box-shaped section, appropriately connected, and featuring a constant 50mm width on the interior side of the facade. It is mounted using a system of consoles with the required load capacity.

Fire-Resistant Inserts: Mullions and transoms are equipped with specialized fireproof inserts, comprising unique aluminum profiles reinforced and shielded with fire-resistant materials.

Cost-Efficient Design: Leveraging standard profiles from the MB-SR50N system enhances cost efficiency while ensuring an identical appearance.

Efficient Water Deflection and Ventilation: The system allows overlapping connections between transoms and mullions, facilitating effective water deflection and proper ventilation within the inter-pane space.

Thermal and Acoustic Insulation: Continuous thermal breaks (insulators) made of "HPVC" material and profiled EPDM glazing gaskets contribute to excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Special expanding tapes in the glazing grooves of mullions and transoms protect against detachment during a fire.

Pointwise Fixation: Fixed glazing and non-transparent infills are pointwise fixed to the load-bearing structure using special clamping plates. Fixation points and infill structure are customized for each project, with standard examples provided in the catalog.

Safety Measures: Glass panels in the EFEKT system are single or double-chamber sets meeting the required standards. Special silicone structural sealant ensures secure sealing, with the option for additional mechanical elements if local regulations demand extra safety measures.

Design Flexibility: Each MB-SR50N EI EFEKT wall should be designed individually, specifying aluminum profiles, accessories, points of attachment to the building structure, sealing, and ventilation details according to applicable standards.

Expansion Joints: Expansion joints are integrated to accommodate thermal expansion and structural deformations.

Weatherproofing: The wall is sealed from the outside with a special polyethylene insulating cord (PE/PP) and weather silicone, ensuring tightness against rainwater and air penetration while maintaining excellent thermal insulation.

The MB-SR50N EI EFEKT system is highly compatible with other systems manufactured by ALUPROF, making it a versatile choice for various architectural applications. For more information and personalized solutions, please contact us.
